Van’s RV Aircraft have found a special niche in the world of “Homebuilt” aviation, and the RV-4 is the favorite of all time. By the year 2008, over 5000 kits and plan sets had been sold and 1250 RV-4 airplanes were flying. We believe our Flight-8 version of the RV-4 will find similar popularity with RC enthusiasts. At a scale of 1:2.4, our “RV-4 ” is truly in the Giant Scale category. In the air, it’s difficult to tell from the full-size aircraft! Its sleek lines, perfect finish, and above all, its performance, will set new standards at your model flying field! Using the generous flaps will make take-offs quick and safe, landings sure and gentle, and sailplane towing an amazingly realistic experience.
With its cheek cowling, the Flight-8 “RV-4” is a perfect candidate for a 100-120cc displacement opposed-twin gasoline ignition engine, such as our DLE-111. Add our special Flight-8 Silencer System for quieter and more realistic sound effects! |

Construction: The Flight-8 “RV-4 ” is an ARF (Almost Ready to Fly) giant-scale airplane. Perfect CNC-machining and high-tech construction techniques are employed; only top-quality balsa, plywood and other materials are used. The “RV-4 ” is covered with German-manufactured Ultracote, which insures the very best in long-term protection, low maintenance and good looks! This superbly engineered aircraft is designed for 100 to 120cc gasoline ignition engines, making our DLE-111 Twin an ideal powerplant! A complete set of accessories comes with the RV-4, including wheels, painted fiberglass cowling and fuel tank.
