Original: In 1972, the brothers Mike and Jim Swick modified a Taylorcraft BC-12D with 85 hp. They clipped the wings considerably and strengthened the whole airplane for aerobatic flying, and replaced the old engine with a new one of 185 hp! From the tired old Taylorcraft, a new, competition-qualified contender was created. Soon thereafter, George Grissom took over the Swick business, and envisioned a great future for the new LSA (Light Sport Aircraft) dass, and called the new-generation Taylorcraft „SwickClip-T". Today, George offers kits and plans for these „modernized golden-age classics"!

Modell R/C Plane: Our Flight-8 version of the SwickClip-T is a 1: 2.8 Giant-Scale model. Its graceful lines bring back the days of high-wing tail-dragger racers. With its 118" wingspan it definitely gets the attention of all present.
